Church Green Fingerpost Refurbishment

Have you noticed that the fingerpost on the small green by the Church has been renovated ?

The work was commissioned by the Parish Council, and was partly paid for using a grant from Wiltshire Council.

The old wooden black and white fingerposts are no longer maintained by the County Highways department anymore so if Villages want to keep them that it is down to the local Town or Parish Council to take over ownership and maintain them.

Swallowcliffe has two such fingerposts, this one and one on the A30 by the old Post Office. The other was given a full renovation last year by the same local craftsman, so they both should be good for the next ten years or so now.
